Historical note: The Society's symposium tradition predates its formal registration — the founding decision was taken at a symposium on “Acoustics in Education” at Andhra University, Waltair, in January 1971 — and the Society conducts the National Symposium on Acoustics annually as its flagship series, as stated in its own brochure records. Undated historic programme records are retained by the Secretariat; make enquiries here.
